Registration Lottery Procedures:
We are thrilled that you and your child(ren) are interested in participating in this year’s production of “{To Be Announced}.”
It is flattering that such an increased number of families want to be part of the workshop. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate every single person who is interested in participating without compromising the production value you have come to expect from Jr. Players. As a result, we have had to change the process by which children register. Many hours have been spent determining a process which would be fair and the Board has decided to go with the lottery system delineated below.
Thirty (30) slots are available to be filled this year. In order to register your child(ren) for the possibility of being part of our next workshop, please abide by the following instructions:
1) Register here (link will be active at registration time) {TBD};
2) Once you have registered your child(ren), you will receive a confirmation and a number;
3) To determine which children will be included in the workshop, numbers will be drawn at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June __, in the Northwood Presbyterian Church library. You are welcome to attend but your attendance is not mandatory. If the number of a child is drawn who has a sibling/siblings who are also registered for the lottery, EACH child registered in that family will be included in the workshop;
4) More than 30 slots will be filled if the last number drawn is that of a child with a sibling/siblings who are also registered for the lottery;
5) Those families whose numbers are drawn will be notified via email on Saturday, June __. The numbers drawn will also be posted on the Jr. Players website;
6) Ten (10) additional families will be drawn for the waiting list;
7) Those families of children whose numbers are drawn will be emailed a link to a formal registration form that MUST be completed and submitted WITH payment (check, cash or money order. Registration payments will not be deposited until after the first rehearsal.) by 6:30 p.m., Friday, July __. Forms may be dropped off or mailed to the church, 518 Pike Place, 78209. PLEASE NOTE: The church will be closed on Friday, July __, so all mailed entries must be received at the church by Thursday, July __;
8) On Saturday, July __, those families on the waiting list will be notified as to whether or not their children will be part of the workshop;
Tuition is $150* for the first child in a family and $130 for each additional sibling. Additionally, rehearsals will continue to be 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and 2-4 p.m. on Sundays. The first rehearsal/workshop/orientation will be on September __ . Performances will take place Thursday – Sunday, November ___, 2013.
